I had seven white rats & the last one just passed away at the rare old age of 3 years 7 months. The first rat passed on at 2 years 6 months so at least they all lived a good long life. I miss them though =( They never bit me, & they would hang out with me for hours at a time. Anyway, maybe I'll get two more in the near future... It's just so hard when they go. I could never survive bathing my rat. She's so hyper our whole house will be covered in suds!

HERE IS A BETTER WAS TO GET UR RAT CLEAN : 1,get 2 rags and keep them in a bowl with clean water2,do NOT use any kind of human shampoo( i prefer dog shampoo because its better, trust me)3,get ur rat wet in the sink using the rag 4,then use shampoo and the other rag to wash it. 5,repeat step 3

I never bathed my rat and she was very clean, her coat was always shiny and never dirty.
